Who we are and what this covers

Spendnotify ("we", "us") operates the website at spendnotify.com. The product is in early access and has not launched, so this site does two things: it describes the product, and it collects an early-access signup list. This policy explains what personal data those two activities involve. When the product launches and begins processing customer transaction data, we will update this policy before that processing starts.

What we collect

  • Early-access signup. When you request access we store your email address, a 6-digit confirmation code and when it was sent, whether and when you confirmed, the page and campaign you signed up from (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and the landing path), your IP address, and timestamps.
  • Analytics. We use website analytics (Microsoft Clarity) to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, scrolling, clicks, device and browser type. We use this to fix the site, not to identify you.
  • Server logs. Like nearly every website, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) for security and debugging.
  • Email you send us. If you write to team@spendnotify.com we keep the correspondence so we can reply and follow up.

The demo on the demo page parses and analyzes any transactions you paste locally in your browser; pasted data never leaves your browser and we do not receive or store it. Only runs on our bundled sample companies may make one optional network call, sending a short summary of a flagged sample pattern (rule name, merchant, amount) to generate a one-sentence explanation; that summary is not stored.

Why we collect it

  • To confirm your signup (the emailed code) and prevent abuse of the form (the IP address).
  • To email you when your early-access spot opens, which is the whole point of the list.
  • To learn which pages and campaigns bring signups (the source and UTM fields).
  • To keep the site working, secure and understandable (logs and analytics).

We do not use your email for unrelated marketing, and joining the list creates no account, password or payment obligation.

What we never do

We do not sell personal data. We do not rent, trade or share the signup list with third parties for their own marketing. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Who processes data on our behalf

We rely on a small set of service providers to run the site: hosting infrastructure, an email delivery service that sends the confirmation code and launch notifications, and Microsoft Clarity for analytics. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Retention

Signup records are kept while the early-access program runs and for a reasonable period after launch so we can honor launch pricing for early-access members. Unconfirmed signups may be deleted earlier. Technical logs are kept for a short rotation window. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove your signup record and stop emailing you.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing team@spendnotify.com from the address in question. Depending on where you live, these choices may also be legal rights (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA); we honor the requests either way.

Children

The site is a business product for finance teams and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, for anything that affects the signup list, email the list before the change takes effect. Questions go to team@spendnotify.com; the contact page has the details.
