Terms of service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

1. What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of the Spendnotify website, the early-access signup list, and the in-browser demo. By using the site you accept them. Spendnotify has not launched: the site sells nothing today, and no paid service exists yet. When the product launches, use of the product itself will be governed by a separate customer agreement.

2. Early access

Joining the early-access list means we store your confirmed email and contact you when a spot opens, as described in the privacy policy. It is free, it creates no obligation on either side, and you can leave the list at any time by emailing us. We do not guarantee a launch date, a specific spot, or that the product as launched will match every description on this site. Pricing shown on the pricing page is planned launch pricing: it is not an offer to sell today, and our stated intent is that early-access members lock in launch pricing when the product goes live.

3. The demo is a simulation

The alert simulator on the demo page runs a real rules engine on sample data, or on transactions you choose to paste, entirely in your browser. Its output illustrates how Spendnotify's monitoring works; it is not financial, accounting, legal or fraud-prevention advice, and it is not a representation that the launched product will flag any particular transaction. Do not rely on the demo to detect actual fraud or overspending.

4. Acceptable use

Do not abuse the site: no scraping the signup endpoints, no submitting email addresses that are not yours, no attempting to disrupt, probe or overload the service, and no use of the site for anything unlawful. We may block traffic that does any of this.

5. Intellectual property

The site, its text, design, code and the Spendnotify name are ours or licensed to us. You may read, link to and quote the site with attribution; you may not republish it wholesale or pass it off as your own.

6. No warranties

The site and demo are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep the site accurate and available, but a pre-launch site describes intentions as well as facts, and we mark planned things as planned.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or demo, including decisions made on the basis of demo output. Because nothing is sold on this site, our total aggregate liability related to it is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Spendnotify operating entity is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong to the courts of that jurisdiction. We will identify the entity and jurisdiction in the customer agreement that accompanies launch.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product approaches launch; the date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use of the site means acceptance of the updated terms. Questions about them go to team@spendnotify.com.
