Features

Expense tracking software that flags spend as it happens

Expense tracking software shows where company money goes. Spendnotify is the real-time kind: it monitors the cards and accounts you already have and alerts you the moment a budget, limit or pattern breaks, not weeks later in a report.

Six capabilities

Everything watches, everything alerts

Budgets and limits

A monthly budget for every employee, team and category, each with a warning threshold at 80 percent and a breach alert at 100 percent.

Example: marketing gets $10,000 a month, and every card in the team counts against it.

Instant alerts: email, SMS, Slack

Every alert is a dispatch with the rule, the amount and the person, sent to the channels your team actually reads.

Example: the controller's phone buzzes minutes after the charge, not three weeks later.

Corporate card monitoring

Watches the card program you already run, read-only. No new cards, no bank switching, no money movement.

Example: every swipe on your existing cards lands on the wire as it posts.

Subscription monitoring

Flags upcoming renewals, price increases versus last month, and zombie subscriptions that keep charging with nobody using them.

Example: a tool's monthly price rises 18 percent; you hear about it before the renewal, not on the statement.

Anomaly detection

Duplicate charges, amount outliers versus an employee's normal spend, first-time merchants and off-hours spikes, with tunable sensitivity.

Example: the same $1,450 hits twice within 48 hours; both charges get flagged before the second one clears review.

Live spend dashboard

Budget versus actual for every category and team, updating as charges post, so the answer to "where are we this month" is always current.

Example: on the 12th you already know which two teams will breach by the 25th at their current pace.

You might be thinking

Three fair objections, answered plainly

"We already have an expense tool."

Keep it. Expense report tools process spending after someone files it. Spendnotify watches the transactions themselves, so the two do different jobs: yours documents, this one warns.

"We are not switching banks for alerts."

You do not have to. That is the whole design: read-only monitoring on the cards and accounts you already run. No new card program, no migration, no money movement.

"Another dashboard nobody will open."

The dashboard is the secondary surface. The primary one is the alert that lands in email, SMS or Slack, which comes to you whether you open anything or not.

Positioning

Expense tracking software vs expense report tools

Established expense platforms such as Expensify and SAP Concur are good at what they were built for: collecting receipts, routing approvals and reimbursing employees. Their timeline starts when a report is filed, which is usually weeks after the money left. Spend platforms like Ramp and Brex do offer real-time control, but the control lives inside their card, so you get it by moving your company onto their card program and banking.

Spendnotify sits in the gap between those two designs. It is alert-first monitoring on top of whatever cards and accounts you already run: per-team and per-category budget alerts, expense fraud detection rules, and subscription monitoring for SaaS spend management. It will not process a reimbursement and it will not issue a card, and it is priced flat rather than per user; the planned tiers are on the pricing page.
