Perk pricing and TravelPerk pricing: every plan, booking fee and cap, worked out

Perk charges a monthly plan fee and a slice of every trip. The slice has a $2 floor and a $30 ceiling, and that ceiling decides whether the paid plans ever save you money. Here is the arithmetic for a US team, straight from Perk's own North America rate card.

Short answer

How much does Perk cost?

In North America, Perk's travel plans are Starter at $0 a month plus 5 percent per booking, Premium at $99 a month plus 3 percent, and Pro at $299 a month plus 3 percent. Every booking fee is at least $2 and at most $30. The Travel and Spend bundle is priced per active user instead, starting at $6 a month plus 3 percent per booking. For most US teams the real bill is the booking fee, not the plan.

Perk defines an active user as "anyone submitting or reviewing one or more expenses in a given month", and its page says the current Spend prices are available for a limited time. Add-ons such as FlexiTravel, which returns 80 percent of a cancelled fare, are listed without a price.

Does Perk Premium pay for itself? The $30 cap decides

The usual shortcut says Premium's 2 point discount covers the $99 fee once you book $4,950 a month. That only holds if every booking is under $600. Perk caps each booking fee at $30 on every plan, so the Starter fee stops growing at $600 while the Premium fee keeps rising until it hits the same cap at $1,000. Past that, both plans charge exactly $30 and Premium saves nothing at all.

So the question is not how much you book. It is how many bookings you make, and what size they are.

Mostly domestic hotel nights

Bookings of $150 to $450 save $3 to $9 each on Premium. You need 11 to 33 of them every month before the $99 is recovered.

Round-trip flights around $600

The sweet spot. Each saves $12, so nine a month covers Premium. This is the only profile where Premium wins on fees quickly.

Long-haul and packaged trips

At $1,000 and up both plans charge the $30 cap. Premium is then a pure $99 feature charge, and that is fine if you need what it adds.

Pro never beats Premium on fees: same 3 percent, same cap, $200 more a month. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited policies, entities and custom reporting, not to save money. The full funding comparison against Navan, Engine, Ramp and Brex is on our business travel software page.

Travel and Spend, per active user

Perk's per-user plans and the US question

Since the November 2025 rebrand, which followed Perk's purchase of the Swiss expense company Yokoy, Perk sells expenses, cards and reimbursements alongside booking. Those plans are metered by active user, meaning anyone who submits or reviews at least one expense in the month. The bundle starts at $6 per active user plus 3 percent per booking, and spend on its own costs $9 or $11 per active user.

The bundle is cheaper per head than Spend alone, so if you want both, buy them together. A team with 40 active users would pay about $240 a month on Travel and Spend Premium before booking fees, against $360 on Spend Premium with no booking at all. Get that in the quote, because Perk's page says the current Spend prices are for a limited time.

The US question. The Spend plans show in US dollars under the North America tab, but the same page also tells visitors "Located in US or Canada? Check out our latest expense management integrations." Perk's expense heritage is European. Before a US company signs for the bundle, get written confirmation of which card programs, reimbursement rails and US entities are live. If the answer is booking in Perk and expenses somewhere else, compare that honestly with Navan, which sells both in the US: $0 platform fee up to 300 employees, expense free for five users and then $15 per user a month (see Navan pricing).

What the main alternatives charge instead

A percentage per booking is one of three ways travel software gets paid. The others are supplier commission and a negotiated licence.

Navan

No platform fee up to 300 employees, unlimited trips. Expense is metered separately after five users.

Ramp Travel

Ramp says no platform or booking fees on any tier. You need to run your cards on Ramp.

Engine

$0, funded by hotel commission, no contract. Strongest for hotel-heavy field teams.

Concur Travel and Egencia

Quote only. Worth pricing if you are keeping SAP Concur Expense.

How to choose a Perk plan in four steps

Export last year's bookings

Pull each trip's amount from the card statement. You need the count and the size, not the total.

Price them on both plans

Apply 5 percent and 3 percent with the $2 floor and $30 cap. If the monthly gap is under $99, stay on Starter.

List the must-have features

One policy, no SSO and no budgets is Starter. A second policy or SSO forces Premium whatever the fees say.

Confirm Spend in writing

If you want the bundle, get the US scope and the active-user price locked in the order form.

Is TravelPerk now Perk?

Yes. TravelPerk rebranded to Perk in November 2025, after it bought the Swiss expense company Yokoy, to signal that it now sells travel, spend and payments together. travelperk.com/pricing now shows Perk plans, and the app runs at app.perk.com. The travel plans and booking fees did not change with the name.

Does TravelPerk charge a booking fee?

Yes, on every plan. Starter charges 5 percent of each booking and Premium and Pro charge 3 percent, with a floor of $2 and a ceiling of $30 per booking. So a $300 hotel stay costs $15 in fees on Starter and $9 on Premium, and a $1,400 flight costs $30 on both.

Is Perk Premium worth it?

Only if you book enough trips in the $67 to $1,000 range. Premium saves at most $12 per booking, at exactly $600, so the $99 fee needs at least nine such bookings a month to pay for itself. On bookings of $1,000 or more both plans hit the $30 cap and Premium saves nothing. Buy Premium for SSO, extra policies and budgets, not to cut fees.

Is Perk Spend available in the US?

Perk's pricing page lists Travel and Spend and Spend-only plans in US dollars under North America, but the same page also tells US and Canadian visitors to look at its expense management integrations. Get written confirmation of which spend features, cards and entities are live for a US company before signing.

Is Perk cheaper than Navan?

For booking, usually not. Navan charges no platform fee up to 300 employees and no booking percentage, while every Perk plan takes 3 to 5 percent of each trip up to $30. Perk can still win on expenses for a small team, since Navan meters expense at $15 per user after five. Run both against your own booking count and user count.

Can SpendNotify replace Perk?

No. SpendNotify does not book travel and does not resell Perk. It connects read-only to your corporate cards and bank accounts and alerts the budget owner by email, SMS or Slack when a team is trending over its travel budget, including trips booked outside Perk and spend on the road that no booking tool sees.
