Sage Intacct expense management, the best expense reporting software for Intacct and the plan each one needs

Almost every expense tool says it integrates with Sage Intacct. What the integration pages leave out is that the connector usually lives on a higher plan than the one on the price card. For an Intacct company that plan is the real price, so this comparison starts there.

The short version

What is the best expense management software for Sage Intacct?

If you want to keep your current corporate cards, Sage Expense Management (formerly Fyle) on its Business plan or Emburse Spend Plus, both with a native Intacct sync. If you are willing to move cards, Brex includes Intacct on its $0 Essentials plan and Ramp on Plus. Expensify connects only on Control. Navan suits companies that also want travel booking in the same product.

The plan gate

Which plan of each tool includes the Sage Intacct integration

Read from each vendor's pricing page, support documentation or Intacct marketplace listing. The middle column is the one that matters: it is the cheapest plan an Intacct company can actually use.

Swipe the table sideways to compare all columns.

Tool Cheapest plan with Intacct Your cards or theirs Catch
Sage Expense Management Business, $14.99 per active user, annual Yours, Amex included 10-user minimum and a one-time implementation fee. Growth has no Intacct.
Emburse Spend Plus, $12 per user Yours or theirs 15-user minimum, teams up to 100 employees. Basic at $8 has QuickBooks and Xero only.
Expensify Control, $18 per active member, annual Yours, or $9 on the Expensify Card Collect cannot connect to Intacct at all.
Brex Essentials, $0 Theirs You move the card program to Brex. Premium is $12 per user.
Ramp Plus, $15 per user plus a platform fee Theirs The platform fee is not published. Free has QuickBooks Online and Xero only.
Navan Expense Free for 5 users, then $15 per user Navan card, or your cards via Navan Connect Strongest if you also book travel in Navan.
SAP Concur Expense Professional, by quote Yours Native Intacct integration on Professional since February 2025. Self-serve Base and Plus are priced per report.
Sage Intacct Time and Expense Add-on module, by quote Card import Lives inside the ERP. Built for billable project expenses, not receipt capture.
Zoho Expense None natively Yours Only through a third-party sync product, which is a second vendor and a second bill.

The arithmetic

What 25 active users cost on each, once the Intacct plan is forced

Take a US company with 25 people who submit expenses or carry a card each month, books in Intacct. Priced on the cheapest plan that carries the connector, the monthly software line looks like this:

  • Brex Essentials: $0, on the condition that everyone carries a Brex card.
  • Emburse Spend Plus: $300 (25 at $12), plus $1,500 once if you take guided implementation.
  • Navan Expense: $300 (the first 5 free, then 20 at $15).
  • Sage Expense Management Business: $374.75 (25 at $14.99), plus an unpublished setup fee.
  • Ramp Plus: $375 (25 at $15) plus a platform fee Ramp does not publish.
  • Expensify Control: $450 (25 at $18), or $225 if all spend moves to the Expensify Card.

The spread is real but narrower than the price cards suggest. The two tools that look cheapest, Brex and Ramp, get there by earning interchange on their own cards, which means reissuing every card and updating every vendor that bills one. If you run an Amex or bank-issued corporate program you want to keep, the realistic comparison is Emburse, Sage Expense Management and Expensify, and between them the gap at 25 users is about $150 a month. The full per-vendor breakdowns are on Expensify pricing, Ramp pricing and Emburse pricing.

Sage selling to Sage customers

Should an Intacct company default to Sage Expense Management?

Sage announced it had acquired Fyle on July 28, 2025, and the product now sells as Sage Expense Management. For an Intacct shop that has two practical effects. The integration is maintained by the same company that ships Intacct releases, which is the best protection against a sync that breaks after an ERP update. And Sage's pricing page says prices differ for existing Intacct customers, which is an open invitation to negotiate.

What it does not do is make the Business plan optional. Growth, the $11.99 plan most reviews quote, has no Intacct connector, so the floor is 10 users at $14.99. Our Fyle and Sage Expense Management pricing page works through the minimums and the card-holder meter, which bills any connected card that is used in the month even if its holder never files an expense.

Where it loses: companies with fewer than about six active users (the minimum makes each one cost $25 or more) and companies ready to move cards, where Brex is free with the same connector.

What to test in the Intacct sync during the trial

The connector list is the same everywhere. The differences show up in the dimensions. Intacct customers usually code expenses to department, location, project and class, often with user-defined dimensions on top. Ask each vendor to sync a real month in a sandbox and check four things:

  1. Do your user-defined dimensions come across, or only the standard ones?
  2. Do card transactions post as credit card entries against the right card account, and reimbursements as bills to the employee vendor record?
  3. Is the sync two-way for master data? Ramp's own documentation, for example, describes a transaction's sync as one-way once it has gone across.
  4. In a multi-entity setup, does each entity's spend land in its own Intacct entity without manual splitting?

One boundary worth knowing: none of these tools handles vendor invoices that arrive as PDFs by email. Those go through accounts payable, not the expense app, and if your team still keys them into Intacct by hand, the faster route is to extract the invoice data automatically before the bill is created.

The part no expense tool covers

Expense tools code the spend. They do not warn the budget owner.

Every tool above gets a transaction into Intacct with the right department on it. None of them tells the marketing lead on the 12th that the team is on pace to finish the month 30 percent over budget. Intacct's budget reports show that after posting, and expense reports often arrive at month end.

SpendNotify is not an expense tool and has no Intacct connector, so it does not replace anything in the table. It reads your card and bank feeds read-only, projects each department's month against its budget and alerts the owner by email, SMS or Slack when the trend crosses a threshold you set. How the projection works is on budget alerts, and the category it belongs to is covered on spend control software.

Questions buyers ask

Sage Intacct expense management, answered

Does Expensify integrate with Sage Intacct?

Yes, but only on the Control plan, not Collect. Control is $18 per active member a month on an annual subscription, or $9 if your spend runs on the Expensify Card. The connection is direct and syncs expense reports and card transactions into Intacct with your dimensions.

Does Ramp integrate with Sage Intacct?

Yes, on Ramp Plus. Ramp Free covers QuickBooks Online and Xero only. Plus is $15 per user a month plus a platform fee based on team size that Ramp does not publish. The integration pulls Intacct dimensions and custom fields and pushes card transactions, reimbursements and bills.

Does Sage Intacct have expense management?

Yes. Sage Intacct sells Time and Expense as an add-on module inside the ERP, priced by quote, which suits project and services firms that bill expenses to clients. Sage also now owns Sage Expense Management (formerly Fyle), a separate app with receipt capture and card feeds that syncs two ways with Intacct on its Business plan.

Does Zoho Expense integrate with Sage Intacct?

Not natively. Zoho Expense lists no Sage Intacct connector on its pricing page, and the available route is a third-party sync product such as Commercient SYNC. For an Intacct shop that adds a second vendor and a second bill, which usually cancels out Zoho's low per-user price.

Is Brex really free with Sage Intacct?

The software is. Brex's support documentation lists Sage Intacct on Essentials, its $0 plan, and the Intacct marketplace lists the connector as free. Brex earns its money on card interchange, so the condition is that your spend runs on Brex cards. The cost is the switch, not the subscription. Details are on Brex pricing.

Post it to Intacct. Know about the overrun first.

Whichever expense tool codes the spend, SpendNotify tells each budget owner the day their department trends past plan, read-only, on the cards you already have, for one flat monthly price.
