Fyle pricing and Sage Expense Management pricing, every plan, minimum and fee worked out
Fyle is now Sage Expense Management, and the price you see on review sites depends on which billing toggle they copied. Here are both rates, the user minimums behind them, and the one plan gate that decides what a Sage Intacct company pays.

Short answer
How much does Fyle cost?
Fyle, now Sage Expense Management, costs $11.99 per active user a month on Growth and $14.99 on Business, billed annually. Paid month to month, the same plans are $14.99 and $17.99. Growth bills at least 5 users and Business at least 10, so the smallest possible bills are $59.95 and $149.90 a month. Enterprise, for 250 or more employees, is quoted.

| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Minimum | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $11.99 per active user | $14.99 per active user | 5 users | Receipt scanning, text-message receipts, mileage and per diem, Visa, Mastercard and Amex feeds, card reconciliation, single-stage approvals, QuickBooks Online and Xero (QuickBooks Desktop extra) |
| Business | $14.99 per active user | $17.99 per active user | 10 users | Multi-stage and policy approvals, ACH reimbursements (US only), projects, multi-entity and multi-currency, Sage Intacct and Sage 300 CRE, API, named account manager, SSO as a paid option |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 250+ employees | IP allow-listing, Google, Active Directory and Okta SSO, branded emails, dedicated enterprise account manager, half-yearly reviews |
Monthly billing costs 25 percent more on Growth and 20 percent more on Business. Implementation help from an account manager is a one-time fee, and some accounting integrations carry their own setup fee. Non-profits and schools can ask for a discount.

What a small team really pays per user, once the minimum kicks in
The sticker price is per active user, but the invoice never drops below the plan minimum. On Growth that is 5 users. On Business it is 10. Below those counts you pay for seats nobody used, and the real price per person climbs fast.
Swipe the table sideways to compare all columns.
| Active users in the month | Growth bill (annual rate) | Growth per active user | Business bill (annual rate) | Business per active user |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | $59.95 | $29.98 | $149.90 | $74.95 |
| 4 | $59.95 | $14.99 | $149.90 | $37.48 |
| 5 | $59.95 | $11.99 | $149.90 | $29.98 |
| 8 | $95.92 | $11.99 | $149.90 | $18.74 |
| 10 | $119.90 | $11.99 | $149.90 | $14.99 |
| 25 | $299.75 | $11.99 | $374.75 | $14.99 |
Under 5 submitters
Growth costs $59.95 a month whatever you do, so a three-person team is effectively paying about $20 a head.
On Sage Intacct with a small team
Intacct needs Business, so $149.90 a month is the floor. At six active users that is $24.98 each before the setup fee.
Twenty-five people or more
The minimum stops mattering. Growth runs about $3,597 a year and Business about $4,497 at 25 active users, billed annually.
Who counts as an active user
Cardholders count even when they never file an expense
Sage bills anyone who creates at least one expense in the month, or who has a corporate card connected with at least one transaction on it. The first half is the generous part: an approver who only signs off is not billed, and people who travel twice a year are billed only in those months.
The second half is the one to model. Connect 40 company cards and each one that is swiped that month is a paid user, even if a card sits with an office manager who never opens the app. At the Growth annual rate that is up to $479.60 a month for the cards alone. Before you connect a card feed, count how many cards are used in a typical month, not how many people file expenses.
If your books are in Sage Intacct
Which Fyle plan includes the Sage Intacct integration?
Business. Growth covers QuickBooks Online and Xero, with QuickBooks Desktop at extra cost and Sage 50 in beta. The two-way Sage Intacct sync, which carries expenses, receipts, the chart of accounts, projects, departments and cost centers, sits on Business along with a one-time implementation fee.
Two practical consequences. First, an Intacct company cannot buy Growth to save money, so the real floor is 10 users at $14.99. Second, Sage's own page says pricing may differ for existing Intacct customers, which is a negotiating opening: ask for the Intacct customer rate in writing, and ask whether the implementation fee is waived when you sign annually. Since Sage now owns both products, you are buying from the same vendor twice and should expect them to price it that way.
If you run Intacct and are still weighing tools, we compare the options that connect to it, with the plan each one needs for the integration, in best expense management software for Sage Intacct.

Is Sage Expense Management cheaper than Expensify, Ramp or Zoho?
Published list prices for the paid tier most US finance teams buy. Each links to our full breakdown, where the verification date is noted.
Swipe the table sideways to compare all columns.
| Tool | Published price | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Sage Expense Management | $11.99 to $14.99 per active user, annual | Works with the cards you already have. Minimum 5 or 10 users. Card-agnostic, including Amex. |
| Expensify | $5 per member Collect, $18 per active member Control annual | Control drops to $9 only if your spend runs on the Expensify Card. Approving counts as activity. |
| Ramp | $0 Free, $15 per user Plus | Cheap because Ramp earns interchange on its own card. You move your card program to Ramp. |
| Zoho Expense | $3 to $6 per user | Lowest paid tier in the category. Receipt-scan quotas are what force the upgrade. |
| Emburse Spend | $8 per submitter | 15-user minimum. Certify and Chrome River are quote only. |
The honest read: Sage Expense Management is not the cheapest, but it is one of the few that keeps your existing card program, Amex included. If you are keeping Amex, our Amex expense management page covers which platforms can even read that feed.
What an expense tool does not do
Fyle files the expense. Someone still has to watch the budget
01
Reports arrive late
Employees submit at month end. By then the department has already spent the money.
02
Policy is per expense
Every $300 dinner can pass policy while the team still runs through its monthly budget by the 15th.
03
Bills sit elsewhere
Software, ads and vendor invoices go through AP or the bank, not the expense app.
Where SpendNotify fits, and where it does not
SpendNotify does not scan receipts, build expense reports or reimburse anyone, so it will not replace Sage Expense Management. It connects read-only to the cards and bank accounts you already use and projects each department's spend against its monthly budget. When a team is on pace to overshoot, the budget owner gets an email, SMS or Slack alert that day, with card, expense and bill spend in one total. The mechanism is on budget alerts and the plans are on pricing.

Questions buyers ask
Fyle and Sage Expense Management pricing, answered
Is Fyle now Sage Expense Management?
Yes. Sage announced it had acquired Fyle on July 28, 2025, and the product now runs under the name Sage Expense Management (formerly Fyle) at fylehq.com. The plan names Growth, Business and Enterprise and the active-user meter carried over.
Does Sage Expense Management charge for all users?
No. It bills only active users: people who create at least one expense in the month, or who have a corporate card connected with at least one transaction on it. That second clause matters. A cardholder who never opens the app is still billed in any month their card is used.
Why do review sites show different Fyle prices?
Because the pricing page has an annual and a monthly toggle. $11.99 and $14.99 are the annual rates for Growth and Business, and $14.99 and $17.99 are the monthly rates. Older listings also carry pre-acquisition prices. Check the toggle before comparing, and compare annual with annual.
Is there a Fyle free trial or free plan?
The pricing page lists no free plan and no published trial length. It offers a demo, and every paid plan has a billing minimum of 5 or 10 users. Non-profits and educational institutions can ask for a discount.
Does Fyle work with American Express corporate cards?
Yes. Every plan lists a direct American Express integration and Amex virtual cards alongside Visa and Mastercard feeds. That makes it one of the few expense tools a company can adopt without moving its card program. Check that your Amex card type is a corporate or business card, since consumer cards cannot feed commercial platforms.
Can SpendNotify replace Fyle?
No. SpendNotify does not collect receipts or build expense reports. It connects read-only to your cards and bank accounts and alerts each budget owner by email, SMS or Slack when a department is trending over its monthly budget, which an expense tool only shows after reports are submitted.
